Welcome to my page, I started blogging in 2017 looking for inspiration after quitting my hospital job. I am an immigrant living in Oregon. I am a teacher and an artist, traveling is my passion. I enjoy reading about other places and cultures, as well as posting and sharing my thoughts and ideas on various topics. I am really into cooking, poetry, creative writing, self-help / psychology and functional art.

Thank you Milena. Beautiful images and quite the worldly tour. One odd thought arrives – why do we put so much into buildings and so much less into our own lives. Wouldn’t we be the better living cathedrals?

It’s a brilliant question Neil, architecture is a loud statement of taste and opulence I guess. Will beauty save the world? Yet what will save us?
Those buildings make history which stays for the coming generations, people come and go, God gives and He takes away. Living cathedrals are fascinating yet short lived, it’s not necessary a bad thing, who wants to live forever?

Me too, they make you feel like you really saw the place with its unique culture

Yeah, I think you learn a lot about a culture that way. When I was in Ethiopia, I mostly visited churches and it was so fun. We learnt so much about their beliefs and traditions.

Did you visit all of these? The only one I’ve visited is the one in Santa Fe – We were there last April. I’m sure your photo is of the one with the mysterious spiral staircase, correct?

Yes, you are right Terry, it’s the one.
We did visit all of these over the course of 5 years.
My husband and I usually go together, only in China I was solo because it was my business trip
